Why Would You Need to Hide Demand
Hiding demand prevents sales orders from being added to your sales history and will not be analyzed by the forecasting models. If you have large one-time sales orders, wholesale orders, or removal orders (Amazon sellers), this will be a helpful tool for you to improve the accuracy of your forecasts. Removing large sales orders that will not likely occur again in the coming year or period will prevent the forecasting models from counting the sales as a trend or increase in volume.
How to Hide Demand
Navigate to Manage Company > Demand. Filter any of the columns shown, such as Order ID, Date of Sale, or Sales Order Qty to find the sale you would like to hide. Similar to hiding items and suppliers, you can select the row you want to hide and then select Hide Demand(s) at the top right of the grid.
You can also select the checkbox under the "Hidden" column to quickly hide items. In addition, if you hide demand by accident or want a sales order to be counted again, you can unhide demand. To do this, select the 3 dots next to the "Hidden" column header, select Filter, then "Is True" and the demand that was previously hidden will be shown in the grid. From here, you can uncheck the box in the "Hidden" column and the demand will be added back to sales history.
Reminder: Please run a forecast after making any changes to demand to recalculate the forecast.
How to Hide Demand for Removal Orders (for Amazon sellers)
If you submit a removal order with Amazon to withdraw inventory from FBA, it will appear as a sales order and negatively impact your forecast and recent sales history unless you hide them from Demand.
To do this, navigate to Manage Company > Demand. You can use the steps above to filter demand, or you can select the "Filter Removal Orders" button at the top right of the grid, enter the minimum quantity of units to filter, and then hide demand from this filtered list using the checkbox under the "Hidden" column or the "Hide Demand(s)" button.
Note: Filtering for removal orders may show demand that are actual sales orders. Be cautious when hiding demand. This button will filter demand with Order IDs starting with "S01", which could be removal orders or sales orders from other channels that are fulfilled by Amazon. Verify the Order ID in Seller Central to establish if the demand is a removal order.
