Regularly updating your warehouse quantity is critical for tracking your total inventory and having accurate purchase order recommendations. You can update your warehouse inventory through the Items section and RestockAMZ: Restock from Upload.
How to upload warehouse quantity in the Items section
Entering inventory manually into the Warehouse Qty column:
If you would like to update warehouse inventory manually for a few items, you can enter the information for each SKU under the Warehouse Qty column in the Items Section of ForecastRx.
Entering warehouse inventory in bulk with a template:
1. To upload your warehouse inventory to the Items section using a downloaded template, select Bulk Management > Download Default Required Template.
*Note: You can use your own spreadsheet instead of the default template as long as the correct information (SKU and quantity in this case) is in the file.
2. To upload just warehouse inventory, enter information into the Item Name, ASIN (optional), and Warehouse Qty columns only and save your file. You can delete the other columns or leave them blank.
3. Go back into the Items section and select Bulk Management > Upload data.
4. Select Update Existing Entries and upload your file. The inventory will then populate into the Items grid.
For future use, save the template with the required column headers (SKU / Item Name and Warehouse Qty). Next time, you can enter the data into the saved template and upload it directly into the Items section with the Bulk Management > Upload Data feature.
Remember to run a forecast after uploading warehouse inventory to recalculate the recommendations.
Entering warehouse inventory in bulk using downloaded data:
1. Go to the Items section and under Bulk Management, click Download Data. Be sure to have the Warehouse Qty column visible in your grid before doing so. A CSV file will download with all information on the Items Grid.
2. From here, you can enter your warehouse inventory into the Warehouse Qty column and then save the file.
3. Next, go back into the Item section > Bulk Management > Upload Data.
4. Select Update Existing Entries and upload your file. The inventory will then populate into the Items grid.
Remember to run a forecast after uploading warehouse inventory to recalculate the recommendations.
Updating and Deleting Warehouse Inventory in Items:
If you upload a new Warehouse Inventory file, it will override the existing Warehouse Inventory in ForecastRx. If you upload Warehouse Inventory for a subset of SKUs, only those SKUs will be updated, the remaining SKUs that are not in your file will remain unchanged. If you would like to delete all Warehouse Inventory before uploading new quantities, select the "Erase Warehouse Inventory" button above the Items grid.
Remember to run a forecast after uploading warehouse inventory to recalculate the recommendations.
How to upload warehouse quantity in RestockAMZ
If you are going to create a shipment into Amazon, you can upload warehouse inventory directly into Restock from Upload as you create your shipment.
1. Navigate to RestockAMZ > Restock from Upload and click Download warehouse inventory template.
2. Enter SKU and Warehouse Quantity into the file for the inventory you would like to update and save the file. Product Name is an optional column.
3. Go back to Restock from Upload and click Import to upload the warehouse quantities and proceed to the shipment creation process.
When your shipment is complete, the units added to the Amazon shipment will be subtracted from the warehouse inventory accordingly, and the remaining quantity will then be saved into ForecastRx.
Viewing Warehouse Inventory
After the inventory has been uploaded, and a forecast has run, you can view the updates under the Warehouse Qty column in the Items section, or you can view them in Restock Recommendations under the Warehouse Inventory column. In Restock Recommendations, you will see the date the warehouse inventory was last updated for reference.
