Restock Recommendations is useful for more than just restocking recommendations and creating shipments. You can also view additional information on your inventory, sales, and product details, as well as customize fields.
Note: Restock from Upload was previously called Restock from Warehouse and Restock Recommendations was previously called Restock from Supplier.
Customization
Like other parts of ForecastRx, you can customize and save the columns shown and their position to effectively view your most important features. Also included are customizable columns called Tags, SKU Notes, and Prep Notes where you can add any information important to the SKU such as how to package the product, color, size, shelf life, and more.
Item Status
Item Status is another customizable field used for filtering your products. Items will be automatically marked Active unless changed. Watch can be used to filter products that you would like to pay close attention to, such as your best sellers, regardless of inventory level. Ignore is useful for products that you do not plan on restocking soon, such as products that are out of season or are not available at this time.
Sales and Cost
Total Orders
Restock Recommendations will display your Total Orders for each SKU by date range from 2 days to 180 days, as well as an average daily sales rate for each time frame(within the daily sales rate recommendations windows). You also have the option to have pending customer orders included in this calculation to stay on top of recent inventory changes. Pending customer order quantities per SKU are also visible separately from total orders within the Pending column. This data makes it easy to see if a product's sales are increasing or decreasing over time and influences your future restocking.
Estimated Margin
Included is a column that displays the estimated margin and the estimated markup percentage for each SKU. Included in the column is the Estimated Margin Calculator which displays the Amazon fees synced from Seller Central, as well as other costs incurred from the supplier, reshipping, and repackaging costs. These costs can be uploaded for each SKU in Change Item Information. You are also able to evaluate the estimated margin using your current product listing price, the current buy box price, the lowest FBA price, and the average 7-day price. These options allow you to estimate your margin effectively if you are competing for buy box and want to have competitive pricing at a rate sustainable for your business. This information can be helpful for a brand seller focusing on restocking the most profitable items first and evaluating less profitable SKUs.
Inventory Levels and Amazon Status
On this dashboard, you are able to see your local warehouse inventory quantities as well as view On Hand FBA Qty and Inbound Amazon shipment quantities per SKU. Instead of viewing Amazon inventory and shipment statuses in Seller Central, the data you need is included right from our dashboard. Restock Recommendations shows a summary of total Amazon inventory as well as a breakdown between different inbound shipping and receiving statuses. Opening the Inbound Shipments tool will give you a view into not only the inbound status of your SKUs but you will also be able to see each inbound shipment by name and receiving status. In addition, Restock Recommendations displays inventory marked reserved and unfulfillable, which are not shown in available inventory, to keep track of total inventory and investigate further with Amazon if needed.
Storage Volume is also a helpful field in Restock Recommendations that will display the amount of storage space a single unit of each product will use as well as the total storage volume currently in use by the specific SKU. Products are also sorted by storage type so you can easily export the grid and see the total storage usage. This information is useful when you have strict storage limits to abide by and reference when looking at your restock recommendations. For example, if you are nearing your restock limit for one storage type and you have a positive restock recommendation, we recommend looking into overstocked items of the same storage type and potentially removing or creating sales to reduce excess inventory and stock the higher sales volume/more profitable products.
Excess Inventory along with Storage Volume can help identify overstock and where to reduce inventory. ForecastRx displays the estimated excess units, the surcharge for those units, and the age of FBA inventory to easily sort through products that are costing you.
Product Information
In addition to basic product information such as SKU and ASIN, you have access to other Amazon product information such as category and rank. This can be useful to a seller looking to track metrics relative to inventory performance and in-stock percentage, as well as know which products are top sellers to focus on when restocking. Other product details available in Restock Recommendations that can influence restock planning are Hazmat, Oversized, and Weight. This information can contribute to your Amazon restock limits, how the package shipping is handled, and which Amazon locations they can be stored in.
Additionally, for restock shipments, you can upload your Case Pack Qty and Box Weight & Dimensions to have your restock recommendations rounded up by case pack as well as have this information automatically populated into the Send to Amazon shipment file to save time entering information when creating FBA shipments.
