All grids within ForecastRx Data Management and Purchasing screens offer the user the ability to select which columns to display and then order, sort and search those results. The data exports from those grids will follow the same set of criteria as the display in most cases.
Note: These settings are individual for each grid and user that logs in. As a convenience, they save across a user’s sessions.
Grid Sorting
Sort: To sort all of your data based on a single column, click on the header of the column you wish to sort on. The options for sorting are ascending (up triangle), descending (down triangle) or no sort (blank) to the left of the header name.
Multi-Sort: Sort using multiple columns by holding SHIFT as you sort each column. When using this option, the arrow will have subscript next to it to signify the sort levels.
Grid Filtering
Search: Columns can be searched within using the arrow icon in the column header. Search options are unique to the type of data that is contained within a specific column.
- Text: provide any part of the resultant text
- Date: provide a start date, end date, or both
- Value: provide a minimum, maximum, or both
- Boolean: choose true or false (used in Hidden tab)
- List: choose term from a predefined list
Active Filters: Once a search filter has been enabled on a column, the search triangle in the upper right of the column header changes from gray to blue telling you that you have an active filter in that column. Remove these search conditions by simply clearing out the previously provided criteria.
Set a Global Filter: Global Filters are set using the Global Filter icon and apply vendor filters globally throughout the app. See “Global Filters” for more details
Why does my export sometimes contain different columns than what I selected (example-hidden columns or charts)?: Some columns that contain charts are not exportable. Other columns, such as unique keys, may be added to a data export to help with importing of that data later on.
Grid Customization
Select: To select which columns to display, click the Column Selector icon. Dark Blue indicates a column that will show. Light Blue indicates a required column. White indicates a column that will hide. You may choose to Revert To Default, which will display a set of commonly used columns, or Save and Apply to exit the selector with your desired settings.
Order: Drag columns right or left to display data in the order you specify. NOTE: Some columns are anchored in a fixed position due to display functionality.
Saving Custom Grid Configurations:
If you want to save a grid configuration, whether its a certain order of the columns, columns shown, or filter, you can do this by typing a name in the "grid layout" box and then hit the green save icon. You can save multiple grid configurations through this feature.
